*IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY OR YOU OR YOUR CHILD ARE SICK LET ME KNOW ASAP
I understand that true emergencies happen! If you experience an emergency, please text me ASAP at 801-541-3211 and we will work together to cancel or reschedule. For all other situations, the following policy applies strictly to ensure the schedule runs smoothly for all families and to give me enough time to fill open spots:
- 24-Hour Notice Requirement: To completely avoid paying for your missed time slot, you must notify me at least 24 hours in advance of your lesson via text at 801-541-3211.
- How to Cancel or Reschedule: To manage your schedule, please go to the original booking email you received from cal.com for that specific lesson and click on either "Cancel" or "Reschedule".
- Less Than 24 Hours Notice: If you have a conflict and it is less than 24 hours before your lesson, you must text me first before cancelling in the system so we can discuss the change and avoid full no-show fees.
- Repeated No-Shows: If you have two No-Shows without notifying me, and you have not paid the outstanding balances for those missed lessons, you will be removed from the schedule entirely. You will be ineligible to book future lessons with Swim Gym LLC until the balance is resolved.
2. Arrival & Facility Guidelines
- Arrival Time: Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. Enter through the gate on the south side of the garage and head west.
- Early arrival gives you time for a quick bathroom break, changing into a swim diaper if needed, and fixing goggles so the lesson can start exactly on time.
- Sunscreen: Apply sunscreen 10–15 minutes before arriving. If applied right before jumping in, it washes immediately off into the pool and will not protect your child.
- Swim Diapers: They are not a suggestion, they are mandatory. Any child that is not potty trained and is not in a swim diaper is not permitted to enter the pool.
- Changing Area: A bathroom and changing room are available for families inside the basement of the home (down the stairs near the pool) is finished. It is underneath the deck.
This is a residential property so please ensure you do your best to be courteous to the owners.
Respect the Property: Please treat our backyard with care and be sure to clean up after yourself and your family before you leave.
- Trash & Diapers: Please use the provided trash cans for all waste. It is especially important that all dirty diapers and chewed gum go directly into the bins and are never left on the furniture or concrete pool deck.
- Pool Safety: Swimmers may only enter the water during their designated lesson time. Additionally, for everyone's safety, please never step or walk on the pool cover when it is closed.
- Quiet Waiting Area: To minimize distractions for the students currently in the water, please keep noise levels down while waiting for your lesson to begin.
- No Glass: For everyone’s safety, glass bottles and containers are strictly prohibited anywhere in the backyard or on the pool deck.
- No Food or Gum in the Pool: For the safety of your swimmer and the cleanliness of our pool, food and gum are not allowed in the water. Please make sure your child has finished chewing any snacks or gum before their lesson begins to prevent choking hazards.
3. Health & Sickness Policy
Because sickness spreads very quickly in the water, maintaining a healthy pool environment is my top priority.
- When to Keep Your Swimmer Home: Please do not bring your child to swim lessons if they are contagious or have experienced any of the following recently:
- Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease
- Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
- Pink eye
- Any known contagious illness (fever, severe cough, etc.)
- Instructor Illness: If I get sick and am contagious, I will reach out to you immediately to cancel or reschedule. I do not teach if I am sick to protect your children.
- Fecal Matter Incident Policy: If a child has a bathroom accident in the pool involving fecal matter, health and safety regulations require me to immediately close the pool, shock the water, and run a 24-hour deep-cleaning filtration cycle. All remaining lessons for that 24-hour period will be canceled and rescheduled. (Note: If your child is not completely potty-trained, they MUST wear a tightly fitted reusable or disposable swim diaper).
4. Weather & Environmental Cancellations
Your child's safety is non-negotiable. Lessons will be canceled or rescheduled by the instructor under the following conditions:
- The outside temperature drops below 52 degrees.
- Lightning is spotted in the area.
- Severe weather storm warnings or severe wind storms are active.
- Any other environmental factor arises that makes the water or pool deck unsafe for children. If weather forces a cancellation, I will contact you directly to reschedule.
